Homes of the second born on Rami.
The Giants recognise all things are part of a great chain of being, an Ordning, descending from Rami, to the Titans, to them, to the Dwarves, and to all living and inanimate things created by them. Therefore, each Giant Fortress considers itself part of this Ordning, and dedicates itself to manifesting the ultimate vision of the Creator. Therefore the word Ordning is synonymous with Church in the Rami System.
As most Titans only sleep to protect the Monoliths, the Fortresses built upon their bodies, and the Ordning of Giants within them, see their task as simply ones of vigilance. But for the Ordnings of the Gods more active in Creation, the members of those see themselves as missionaries on a greater path. These Ordnings of the Gods are in all cases the pinnacles of religious authority for their deities. While war is uncommon between Ordnings representing Gods whose dreams are in tension, conflict is not, and these contests can cause tremendous damage. However one Ordning will never attack the Fortress of another, since all Titans sleep in the shadows of the Monoliths.
The faction leader of each Ordning is a Giant called the “Dreamwalker”, one who perceives with the greatest clarity the dreams of the God who created them. The organisation of each Ordning is different, depending on the Titan, but extends all the way down to the ministration of proper beliefs, ecclesiastical orthodoxy, the elimination of heresy, and of course, the instruction and raising of Aasimar children.
